Fear arose in Anambra yesterday over the Ebola virus after the body of a citizen was brought in from Liberia.
The country came into the spotlight when 40-year-old Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian official died in Nigeria.
The dead body was said to hold been brought into the land via shipment and deposited at the
morgue of Apex hospital in Nkwelle Ezunaka in the Oyi council.
The state government was informed of the process by a source and the Ministry of Health was readily informed.
The incident was inveterate by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jehoshaphat Akabuike who said that the hospital has been kept shutdown and sealed off and the workers and in-patients had been segregated.
The Ebola infection is currently raging in Liberia and Sierra Leone with over 700 killed from the disease.
