Vast Of Bracket Diagnosed With Cancer Of The Blood

Nwanchukwu Ozioko, popularly known as Vast from the popular singing group, Bracket, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, a type of cancer of the blood.

The singer was diagnosed in February this year after suffering serious body pains, headaches, non stop coughing, loss of weight and weakness while in Paris for a show. He flew to London where a test conducted determined he had cancer.

Vast has been receiving treatment at the Wellington Hospital in the UK since February and there are reports he's responding very well to treatment. He has undergone 4 circles of chemotherapy with each circle costing about N1.4million. He will do a few more before returning to Nigeria next month. According to sources close to the singer, the sad part is that he actually went to a hospital in Nigeria late last year when he started losing weight and feeling weak.

They conducted a test on him but it took them forever to come back with the test result. Over three months actually. By then the cancer had spread to his liver. But thankfully he's getting better and will return home soon.

David Moyes Set To Be The New Manchester United Boss

Everton boss David Moyes is set to be appointed as the new Manchester United manager, following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

An announcement could be made on Thursday.

Ferguson, 71, revealed his decision to step down after nearly 27 years at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Fellow Scot Moyes, 50, who has been in charge at Goodison Park since 2002, held talks with Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright on Wednesday evening.

Moyes is expected to tell the Everton players and staff of his decision to join United at a training ground meeting on Thursday morning.

He could still lead Everton out at Goodison Park against West Ham on Sunday for what would be his final home game in charge.

The former Preston boss was installed as bookmakers’ favourite to become the next United boss following a rush of bets over the weekend, even before speculation mounted about Ferguson’s retirement.

“He’s cut from the same cloth,” said former United captain Steve Bruce.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he got the job and I’m sure he would be very successful.

“He’s not had huge finances but he has still managed to put an Everton team together that comfortably finishes in the top 10.”

Former United assistant manager Steve McClaren also believes Moyes is the right man for the job.

“He’s a winner and has a work ethic similar to Sir Alex,” the ex-England manager told BBC Radio 5 live. “He’s also built a dynasty and legacy at Everton.

“He’s waited many years for this opportunity and I hope he gets it.”

Real Reasons Sir Alex Ferguson Retired As United Boss Revealed

Sir Alex Ferguson always said he would carry on as Manchester United manager as long as his health permitted him to do so.

So, when the United boss was informed he would require a hip replacement this summer – as exclusively revealed by the Mirror last week – it proved the beginning of the end of his remarkable Old Trafford reign.

The procedure will leave Ferguson needing up to three months of recuperation and, with the prospect of missing the start of United’s title defence at the start of next season, the 71-year-old heeded it as a message from his body that it was now time to call it a day.

Despite insisting the operation was planned for after United’s pre-season tour of Thailand, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong, the lengthy recovery period meant the Scot being back in the dug-out for the start of the new season was a fanciful notion.

United’s willingness to confirm that Ferguson was to undergo hip surgery raised fresh doubts over whether he could feasibly continue in the role, given the lengthy recovery period involved, despite the club’s insistence it would not affect his ability to carry out his duties.

Ferguson even confided in one loyal journalistic ally at the weekend that the imminent operation would have no bearing on his future as United manager, while his departure was being carefully orchestrated and stage-managed behind the scenes.

The plan had been for Ferguson to break the news to United fans after Sunday’s home game against Swansea, when the club will be presented with the Premier League trophy for the 13th time following their latest championship success.

But when news leaked about Ferguson’s potential departure late on Tuesday, the Scot and United were forced to bring forward the announcement of his intention to stand down after the game at West Brom on May 19, his 1,500th in charge of the Reds.

Unlike when Sir Matt Busby stepped down in 1969, leaving an ageing squad behind that was eventually relegated in 1974, United have no such concerns following Ferguson’s imminent departure.

In many ways, the robust shape of United’s current squad, with the right blend of youth and experience, has made it easier for Ferguson to stand down now, safe in the knowledge his successor, David Moyes, is inheriting a formidable group of players.

“The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly,” said Ferguson. “It is the right time.

“It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so.

“The quality of this league winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long-term future of the club remains a bright one.

“Our training facilities are amongst the finest in global sport and our home Old Trafford is rightfully regarded as one of the leading venues in the world.”

There were other key factors, aside from the onset of age and his hip problem, that combined to convince Ferguson this was the right time to end his 26-and-a-half year tenure at United and hand over control of United to Moyes.

The imminent departure of United chief executive David Gill, as well as that of Ferguson’s brother Martin, the club’s European scout for 16 years, provided Ferguson with the perfect exit strategy, on top of the uncertainty over his health.

The United boss had considered quitting at the end of last season, but was persuaded to stay on and win the Premier League title back from Manchester City after losing it such galling fashion on goal difference with virtually the last kick of the campaign.

Ferguson was determined not to end his time at United on a low note and made the decision to stay on and reclaim the domestic title, as well as having one last crack at joining former Liverpool boss Bob Paisley as the only man to win three European Cups.

That dream was dashed with United’s last 16 exit to Real Madrid, which left Ferguson too distraught to attend the post-match press conference at Old Trafford, knowing that his final shot at another Champions League triumph had gone for the last time.

But with the objective of re-asserting United’s domestic dominance achieved, set against the backdrop of his ailing health and the loss of two key allies in Gill and his brother, Ferguson knew this was the moment he had to step down and entrust the future of the club to his successor.

There had been whispers that Ferguson was considering his future at United in the aftermath of United’s latest Premier League title win, which they clinched with four games to spare with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford on April 22.

On Tuesday, it emerged Ferguson was ready to call it a day, but it was not until he called his players to a meeting in the changing-rooms at the club’s Carrington training complex on Wednesday morning, that his exit was confirmed.

Ferguson held three separate meetings, one each with his players, coaching staff and general staff, in his office, the changing-room and the canteen respectively, to break the news of his intention to retire, with those present claiming the United boss was close to tears as he delivered his bombshell announcement.

Yet, Ferguson, perhaps typically of a man driven by a relentless work ethic forged in his early days as an apprentice toolmaker in Glasgow, remained committed to his job right up until his seismic announcement, not relenting from his hectic schedule for a moment.

On Monday afternoon he was in his native Glasgow to watch a charity game between former Rangers and United players at Ibrox, before dashing back to Manchester to watch United’s reserves in their final game of the season against Liverpool.

Business as usual, until Wednesday’s denouement.

Few managers get to choose the timing of their departure, but in many ways Ferguson has selected the perfect ending to his United tenure, bowing out in front of 75,000 fans at Old Trafford, with the Premier League trophy back at its spiritual home.

A former Korean model addicted to plastic surgery injected cooking oil into her face when doctors refused to perform any more cosmetic operations on her.

Hang Mioku, now about 50 years old, has been left with a badly disfigured face following her desperate attempt to attain softer and smoother skin.

Mioku had her first plastic surgery when she was 28 years old, and soon became obsessed. She moved to Japan to pursue her career and underwent several more bouts of surgery, Mail Online reports.

However, after undergoing repeated operations to enhance her looks, doctors refused to provide her with any more silicone injections when her face became noticeably enlarged.

Prophet drowns during baptism

Prophet drowns during baptism

BULAWAYO police have clarified that a man who drowned at a baptism pool in Pumula South last month was not a member of Prophet Thabiso Ngwenya's church as they initially reported...

The police said Ngwenya, arguably Bulawayo'smost popular prophet, was not there at the baptism ceremony and the man is believed to be a "prophet" who was conducting his own baptism ceremony.
Initially, police said they suspected that the man had drowned while being baptised by Ngwenya.
Bulawayo provincial police spokesman Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo identified the man who drowned at the pool as Selby Chikowora (22), believed to be a prophet from another apostolic church.
"He slid into the pool where he was baptising several people and drowned. It is not clear whether he belonged to Prophet Thabiso Ngwenya's church, but he drowned at the very pools where Ngwenya baptises his people," Moyo said.
Ngwenya's lawyers Moyo and Nyoni Legal Practitioners said neither Ngwenya nor prophets from his church had baptised anyone on the fateful day.
"Our client has a church, which was awarded land by local authorities. He erected a baptism pool there and that is where all his baptism services are held," the lawyers said.
The lawyers said the reports were likely to cause alarm among the popular prophet's "local and international" clients.

The Man Who Impregnated Singer Omawumi Finally Exposed

As a journalist/blogger, I've always find it strange that kokoma singer, Omawumi, usually dodge any question that is directly or indirectly connected to the man who impregnated her just when her career was taking shape and many was looking forwards to her exploits in the industry.

She traveled abroad, gave birth quietly and came back, still nobody was identified as the baby daddy. A few names have cropped up but none of them seem serious. Finally the identity is out.

From what a source told us Omawumi was handsomely settled to keep the name of her baby's father a top secret. The reason is that the man is a sitting governor in one of the oil rich South South states and his wife is said to be very brutal; she "deals with ladies" who come close to her husband.
we gathered that Omawumi's child has the looks of the said governor and this is why she hardly go out with the child. The governor has big eye balls, he is dark and not tall. The source said the First Lady, that is the governor's wife, is already aware that husband had fathered a child with Omawumi.

I hear she's mad at the development and has sent strong warning to Omawumi to "completely stay away" from her husband otherwise she will be sorry. As a result, about two years since Omawumi gave birth she has not stepped her legs in the state as she's closely being watched.

Let me not drop the governor's name, but from my description you guys should know him.

P-Square's Paul Okoye welcomes child with 19 year old beauty

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Paul Okoye, the other half of twin singing sensation, P-Square, has welcomed a child with 19 year old MBGN 2012 contestant, Elshama Igbanoi. After reading the story, I contacted someone from Paul's camp and they said they do not know anything about the pregnancy or the girl. Strange. Read the SR report below...

Nigeria’s hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer’s baby.
A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square – who is also known as P2 – had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy.
More when you continue...
SaharaReporters learnt that the new baby’s mother is Elshama Benson Igbanoi, a 19-year-old and former Miss Plateau State. Our sources disclosed that she gave birth at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS
Our sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. SaharaReporters spoke to the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for him, but had received no response.
Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby.
Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.
SaharaReporters learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has not received any payments. “The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred,” said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle Paul Okoye.
In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.
