BBATheChase: Get over the séx and nudity already
A couple of days ago the shocking results of a study regarding gay porn were released. Well, to the general population of the world, the fact that people Nigeria and Pakistan watch gay porn probably wouldn’t be something capable of sending them into cardiac arrest; to people in Nigeria, however, that’s only one of the reactions it inspires. One of these would probably be shame, from those who are so quick to denounce homosexuality or porn (or generally anything they’d rather believe didn’t exist) as “foreign” or “not part of our culture” or any other delusional term one might use to justify their lack of touch with reality.
It appears to be this same mentality that is responsible for the deluge of articles hitting the internet about the ongoing Big Brother Africa Reality Show/Competition/Orgy. For any who may be unaware of what Big Brother Africa is, (you know, just in case you’ve been living under a rock or something) it’s an African version of international franchise created 16 years ago by a Dutchman called John De Mol. Wikipedia (or whoever edited the definition on it) defines the premise of the show as “a group of people living together in a large house, isolated from the outside world and continuously monitored by television cameras.” Since it first aired in the Netherlands in 1999, it’s gone on to be adapted in various countries around the world, seeing format changes such as the improvement of the Houses where contestants stay, from the “stripped to the basics” styling's of the first edition to the luxurious designs we see in the house today.
The African edition first premiered in 2003 – introducing us to Nigerian housemate Bayo, who few people probably even remember now. (Seriously, where is he?)
Since then the show has gone on to hold 7 times, including ongoing version “The Chase,” (not to forget the one-off Nigerian version, which introduced us to now familiar faces like Gideon Okeke and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu) and each version has brought with it its own share of both drama, both off and on-screen – “screen” here being both TV and Computer screens, of course, because with every new season comes a barrage of new online expressions of outrage as though the show is becoming anything other than what it has always been.
There was last year’s infamous (like most things about this show) slap incident, between housemates DKB and Zainab, which resulted in about a million (possibly more, that’s just a rough estimate) “slap me now” memes and a million more arguments about feminism and domestic violence and things of the sort. The late Goldie’s “relationship” with housemate Prezzo – which managed the feat of inspiring even more arguments about feminism and the place of a woman – was also another hot topic, to put things mildly. Perhaps it’s just the result of experiencing it so many times, but for whatever reason, this year’s edition seems to particularly be finding itself a number of offended parties. To sum it up, the main grousés against the show seem to be

- Immorality
- Nudity

Okay, you get the picture. There’s also the issue of the show not being particularly “educative,” you know, seeing as a television show is exactly the place to go looking to be educated. Sure, there’s no obvious “educational” aspect to it. Well, a case could probably be made on the show being a perfect case study for research into human interaction from psychological and sociological standpoints, but that’s just by the way. But really, and this isn’t just an “all work and no play makes jack a dull boy” standpoint, does everything have to be educational? Particularly considering the show we’re talking about here has never exactly made itself out to be a master-class in rocket-building or disease-curing.
The same can be said for all the “nudity” in the show. No one tunes into Big Brother looking for tips on how to properly cover up (and if they do, they’re looking in the wrong place.) The fact of the matter is the nudity isn’t just one aspect of the show, it’s a major aspect. Offensive as it may be to some, it plays off the voyeuristic tendencies of others; the innate curiosity of human beings about others. Sure, it could be (and is) called perverted, but who cares? It’s entertainment. Hell, this season doesn’t even feature the major Big Brother highlight “Shower Hour,” a fact which is sure to be a source of constant disappointment to some viewers. Nonetheless, accusations that the show doesn’t “promote proper African culture” are a step away from baseless considering the fact the show never advertised itself as “Discover Africa 101,” not to mention the fact what it shows us is the behaviour of a group of people from different countries across the continent; and what’s more indicative of culture than the people?
Essentially, the point is, get over it. Big Brother Africa has never claimed to be what it’s not, or somehow deceived viewers into tuning in for something other than what they get. It’s entertainment in its rawest and most escapist form, and for that, we (well, some of us) are thankful.

Mikel Obi set to leave Chelsea for Galatasaray
Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi is set to move to Galatasaray from Chelsea. Mikel told Sabah, a daily Turkish newspaper that the Turkey football club made an offer that he's very pleased with and is looking forward to life in Istanbul.
'I asked Drogba for advice and he told me that Istanbul is a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is a huge club and that I have to make the move. I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave.
'I'm still only 26 and it's great to receive an offer from a club (Galatasaray) playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition.'
Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be a problem. All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement.'

An ND 1 student of a private polytechnic in Ekiti State was raped by five men including a man who had expressed his unending love for her.
The boy called his friends and together they tied her hands and legs. Each of them got his turn to rape her.

The disturbing affair was discovered after the boy, who is now 12, approached his principal to confess the truth and seek help putting a stop to the liaisons.
Child Youth and Family services apparently took custody of their baby two months ago. Though the woman now faces criminal charges, she is reportedly still denying that there was any séxual contact between them. The worst part? She won't be charged with rape. Under New Zealand law, rape is only applicable when males forces séx. Females who force unwilling partners to made loveual relations are charged with séxual violation. Can you believe that?!
The whole story is too disgusting for words. This evil woman forced this little kid into having séx with her, gave birth to his baby and is now denying it ever happened? I don't know how anyone can exploit a child like that, especially when they themselves are a mother to a kid of the same age! It's beyond horrifying…and it's even worse knowing that the law prevents her from getting the charge she really deserves. The truth is, rape is rape whether it happens at the hands of a man or a woman.
My heart breaks for this little boy, who now has a child despite the fact that he's just a baby himself. In fact, some reports say that if his age is confirmed, he will be the youngest known father in New Zealand…and it's all because this woman took advantage of a child and forced him to grow up too fast.

Student Leaks Video Of Her And Her Lecturer Having Séx
According to 411Vibes, a young Ghanaian student, who claimed to be in one of the well known Federal institution in Ghana, sent in a scandalous video.
The source claims that the girl in the video, who happens to be the one of the `bigger girls on campus clique’ has been known for her promiscuous ways and sexual relations with loads of people but has never gone to the extent of filming her séx-tape.

Naked women on Big Brother Africa? Rate Nudity is shocking – SHOCKED!
Big Brother viewers in Africa can sign up to a special VIP service which allows them to watch the show’s contestants washing naked in the bathroom.
The sordid “private pass”, which costs a one-off fee of 70 South African Rand (£5), gives subscribers access to footage of the housemates under the covers, after dark and during “shower hour”.
This week the uncut scenes have included clips of female housemates Pokello Nare and Cleo in various states of undress in the bathroom.
Pokello, 27, from Zimbabwe, was seen completely naked bathing in the tub.
While viewers could watch Cleo, 23, from Zambia, scrubbing herself clean while topless in the shower.
Anyone aged over 18 can sign up to BBVIP to watch the daily hour-long footage of the housemates in the shower or bath.

I am grateful to God that I will rest in His bosom and I am more grateful because I have always wanted this opportunity to speak my mind even unto death. I guess you are surprised that even the dead can air an opinion; in my case I really wanted to because I knew that God was preparing a place for me and that is where I will be.
Do not weep for so long because I found eternal peace in Him. The very peace that has eroded me in about twelve years of my God given years (at the time of this writing I am forty-one years of age and I have been married for twelve years).
This is my story………
I am Yetunde nee Olotu as I am fondly called by my immediate family in Nigeria but here I am being referred to as Omodolapo Jagha as named by the love of my life. Now, I am Dolapo GoodGod , the surname I adopted when I realized that I no longer have a husband who will be there for me. The very man I should expect to be the Master of ceremony at my burial, the man you think would miss my departure the most but unfortunately not. I believe my estranged husband is glad that he is now free from the bondage called marriage.
Noble Jagha, I hope you feel so happy now that your prophesy to Maryam Hassan and other girlfriends of yours that I will soon die so you can marry them is now fulfilled. The truth is that my body may be dead but my hope of glory in heaven is constant as God lives. I may not be here again but I am so sure you will never find anyone to love you the way I did.
You were my first love, the very man who deflowered me but turned his back on me years after that I was not good on bed (not sexy enough for you), I was not good at cooking but I managed to learn and cook your local meal of Starch and Banga. He said, “I was so paranoid” because I complained that you are only comfortable making phone calls in the car and returning home at midnight.
You finally abandoned me and the children in December, 2012 after all the mental and physical abuse I suffered from you. You could not face the wrath of law as I got a safety and protection order against you because I was afraid that you would eventually take my life. While you lived with us, you were of no use, as you were not readily available to do your matrimonial and fatherly duties.
How painful it was to take the twins to school walking all the way from Ongar to Little Pace, sometimes after getting a chemo. Even when I pleaded with you to look after the kids when I have appointments at the hospital you refused. Thank God for the Irish government (HSE) that provided me with home help (Margaret), my cousin, grandma Odelade, Sola and S. Bimbo (my wonderful sisters in church), my friend, confidant (Gbemi) who stuck to me like a sister, she is known in all our kids’ school as their guardian because you were not there.
You found solace in your numerous, “your attraction” as you referred to the choir leader and probably your new sizzling romance Sheila Luxembor whom you kept my kids with without my consent. I hope she told you I rang her and made peace with her when I did no wrong (Yeah, I did this to secure my heaven). Hhhhmmmm..the Lord is my strength.
Oti, how do you feel after physically and mentally tormenting me? You can now be happy that “the living corpse” (as you often referred to me) in your home has finally gone to be with God. You no longer have to hit me or pounce on me anymore.
In death I have forgiving you because I loved you but I hope you are able to forgive yourself…….? I cannot forget in a minute how I felt so let down that I took to my heels and sought refuge in that sister’s place and later on at the women’s refuge. I am sure your defense is that I died as a cancer patient but I believe I could live a day longer if you were there for me…… I went through the pains of Cancer lonely! Rather than supporting, you rejected me.
Isn’t marriage meant to be for better or for worse.….? I hope when I remember how childish you were for taking the boot you bought for me and returning the wrist watch I bought for you I can peacefully sigh a relief for leaving this cruel world.

On my dying bed I made copies of telephone bills showing his immoral communication with a worker in the church at Athlone but there was still no sufficient evidence.
The church that should be a place of refuge became a place of torment for me. I hope you can also enjoy your new relationship with Sheila, I learnt you told some of your church members that I asked her to look after my kids because I was sick in the hospital whereas she keeps malice with me just because of your sex romp with her. Oti, you left my children at home for two days and went to sleep with your girl friend in Athlone. You also asked my under-aged children to travel on bus to Athlone by themselves while I was on the hospital bed. I loved you but you failed me and you know it.
The bitter pill that I have to swallow is the fact that I can no longer be there for my lovely girls .Their beloved father despised them so because I could not make a male child (you claimed that I was unable to have a boy child because I did not drink from the anointing oil which you asked me to drink and that makes you detest me too). I am deeply sorry that I did not drink it; maybe that would have spared me of some lashes.
Our lovely first daughter at age twelve said, “Mummy I don’t think I will get married” This is as a result of the abuse that my child suffered from our marriage. If you are a loved one and you know my daughter, please help me say to her that marriage is to be enjoyed and not endured. I want her to be married and make me proud!
Oti, why do you always run away from your problems rather than resolving them? You left Nigeria because of your involvement in fraud at the bank which you never resolved. As I speak you owe my mother a sum of one million, two hundred thousand naira which you have no plan to repay. How come you had issues even with your own sibling in the U.K to such an extent that you poisoned her? That is the more reason why I was so scared for my life.
You are such a difficult person, the community welfare officer , our GP, Olive at Hartstown , the Child protection unit at Finglas and our father in the Lord tried their best to advise you to no avail. You were not ready to make me happy.
Noble Jagha, you wanted me dead as soon as possible. I still wonder why you refused to come with me for separation times and again when I asked that we should part ways. I know your intent may be to make gains from my years of labour at Anpost. I worked so hard to pay the rent, to feed us and even paid some of your fees to pursue your MBA.
Despite all my effort you were never satisfied, even on my sick bed you demanded for money. I hope you are happy that you have them all and you can feed your numerous girlfriends with them.
I plead with you and I besiege all that reads this to appeal to you that you do the following after my demise which is of utmost importance (I hope you will heed advice for once).
1. That you may put in trust/fixed deposit for my daughters all monies raised from my burial and benefits from my workplace having paid all expenses incurred and other personal loan taking from my friends during my period of illness. My daughters need to know I care for them even in my grave.
2. That, I have a will in which I have named the executors to my will and joint custodians of our children. The lawyer will keep you posted in due course, please adhere!
3. Oti you can also pay any money that you owe from the monies before the account is opened.
4. Kindly pay my mother the money you owe her too before the account is fixed.
5. I want my mother to be a part of my children’s life, please don’t deprive her.
6. Oti make peace with my family and friends (stop making enemies out of the people that helps me).
Oti, it may surprise you but I have to let you know that I have the password to your facebook account and email accounts! How come I am not on your friend list? Why did you also refuse to tell me the cause of your mother’s death? I know she died of cancer! Hmmmm

I hope after my demise our father in the Lord would have enough evidence to correct the wrong of my beloved husband. No wonder my so-called husband was able to trick the church who also lured me to take off the safety and protection order and stop me from getting a separation that I so long for.

I plead with you and I besiege all that reads this to appeal to you that you do the following after my demise which is of utmost importance (I hope you will heed advice for once).
1. That you may put in trust/fixed deposit for my daughters all monies raised from my burial and benefits from my workplace having paid all expenses incurred and other personal loan taking from my friends during my period of illness. My daughters need to know I care for them even in my grave.
2. That, I have a will in which I have named the executors to my will and joint custodians of our children. The lawyer will keep you posted in due course, please adhere!
3. Oti you can also pay any money that you owe from the monies before the account is opened.
4. Kindly pay my mother the money you owe her too before the account is fixed.
5. I want my mother to be a part of my children’s life, please don’t deprive her.
6. Oti make peace with my family and friends (stop making enemies out of the people that helps me).
Oti, it may surprise you but I have to let you know that I have the password to your facebook account and email accounts! How come I am not on your friend list? Why did you also refuse to tell me the cause of your mother’s death? I know she died of cancer! Hmmmm
Oti does not love me; he could not stay with me in sickness despite the fact that I loved him more than my children. Hhmmmm
I hope my mother can forgive me for not heeding her advice in respect of my choice of marriage and I pray that God gives her and my father the fortitude to bear this irreparable lost.

Mad Man Brings out Gun And Starts Shooting During Holy Communion [PICTURED]
Parishioners at a Catholic church in Utah were sent diving under pews in terror Sunday when a tattooed lunatic shot a man in the back of the head during morning worship, cops said.
Charles Richard Jennings, 35, felled his father-in-law with a single shot to the back of the head during 11:30 a.m. mass at St. James church in Ogden and then fled in a stolen pickup truck, KSL-TV reported.
Jennings was captured later after a brief but frenzied state-wide manhunt.
His father-in-law, who was not identified, was in critical condition at McKay Dee Hospital, the station said.
Cops said Jennings specifically targeted his victim.
According to witnesses, the shooting occurred as parishioners lined up to receive Communion.
Rev. Erik Richtsteig told KSL, “Nowhere is immune from evil and it’s what people do when they’re confronted with it that really shows their character and I’m really proud of my people here at the church.”
Jennings has a rap sheet that includes busts for burglary, domestic violence, theft and trespassing, among other crimes.

While in Manchester a female fan was called up onstage to give a boótilicious dance to one of Iyanya’s classical songs ’Flavour’ in front of a large crowd of fans.
She did what she had to do but apparently her dréss was too short, so when she bent down, everything at the bóttom side was revéaled.
This may not have been her intention but she’s a smart girl who transforms weakness into power. She turned the unfortunate incidént into a show for all the fans.
