DHQ Confirm The Arrest Of Three Female Boko Haram Suspects

The Defence Headquarters on Friday confirmed the arrest a total of three suspected female terrorists, who are allegedly recruiting for the female wing of Boko Haram.
The three suspects have been identified as: Hafsat Usman Bako, Zainab Idris and Aisha Abubakar.

It was reported on June 3 that Hafsat Bako, an informant of the dreaded Boko Haram sects was arrested with Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro confirming her arrest.

Troops who stormed a terrorist camp in Balmo Forest, Bauchi State last week and destroyed it were reportedly said to have found identity cards and other incriminating items of some top politicians.



The politicians who have been arrested are presently being interrogated over evidence of their ties with the dreaded terror sect, Boko Haram, according to Vanguard.

The Coordinator of the National Information Centre, NIC, Mr. Mike Omeri, told newsmen in Abuja, yesterday:

“Following the last successful operation carried out by security forces to dislodge terrorists from their forest bases in Darazo Local Government Area end of Balmo Forest, some politicians are currently being interrogated following the recovery of some sensitive registration cards and other materials of a prominent political party that were found in the possession of some of the suspects

Falconets Fall Victims Of FIFA Suspension on Nigeria


Less than 24-hours after an emergency committee of FIFA placed a suspension on Nigeria due to an alleged government interference in the administration of Nigerian football, the country’s Under-20 women side, the Falconets, may have become the first victims of the ban.

Day-Old Baby Thrown Into A Pit Latrine By His Mother

Policemen from the Ogbor Hill Division rescued a day-old baby boy who was thrown into a pit latrine by his mother in Aba, Abia State.

The mother of the baby, Nwaizu, is suspected to be insane, while the father of the baby is yet to be identified.

It was gathered that the woman, who hails from Obingwa Local Government Area of the state, gave birth to the boy without any outside help. Afterwards, she left the covered baby inside the pit latrine.

Bank Manager Found Hanging in Uncompleted Building

The body of Habib Olatunde (pictured above), a bank manager of an undisclosed Nigerian bank, has been found two weeks and six days after he was declared missing by the police. Late Mr Olatunde's body was found hanging in an uncompleted building at Arepo in Ogun state on Saturday July 5th around 5pm. Abayomi Shogunle, the Deputy Force PRO, Nigeria Police Force, revealed this.

Igboeze, a socio-political association of the Igbo people has asked Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka to tender a public apology to the Igbo people for what it termed his denigration of the people.

Prof. Soyinka had last Thursday said that the Boko Haram war was worse than the Biafra/Nigeria war in 1967-70, when a secessionist attempt by the Eastern region nearly tore the country into ethnic regions.

63 abducted Borno women reportedly escape from Boko Haram


63 women out of 70 women who were reported to have been abducted by Boko Haram men in Borno state between June 12th - June 14th have regained their freedom. Reports by government sources as well as members of the Borno state vigilante group confirmed their escape.

An official of the Borno state vigilante group, Abbas Gava while confirming the escape to journalists in Borno, said the women made the bold move to escape yesterday Saturday July 5th while the sect men were attacking a military base in Damboa. Continue...

In May 2014, former Supreme Court Judge and father to former P-MAN president Charly Boy, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa passed on at the age of 96.

His famous son as well as the rest of the family, later made arrangements for the burial. Charly who revealed preparations went fine, said because of the stress he began smoking again after quitting for over five years.

Charly Boy took to social media to share all the moments from the burial ceremony.

Police arrest 21-year old Redeemer student for killing his father


The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 21-year old Tolani Ajayi (pictured above) a student of the Department of History and International Relations, Redeemer University, RCCG Camp Ogun State for killing his father on Tuesday July 3rd.

According to PM News, the shattered body of Barrister Charles Ajayi, 60, a  Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was recovered in a box at a nearby bush at Canaan-land Street at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Camp, Km 46 Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
