A granddad, Missionary Setonji, and five different suspects, who gang-raped a 20-year-old hawker, sentenced to 10 eld in prison.

Setonji and Huvensu, after state arraigned on two counts of rape and conspiracy, pleaded guilty to the charges.

He said, "On Aug 16, 2014 at around 5pm, the two defendants and four others now on the run, conspired unitedly and had coition with the lady without her consent.

"They bought many from her and after she finished selling to some different customers, she went to them for her money.
"She went to Paul (Setonji) being the oldest and he directed her to Abraham (Huvensu). They started sending her to one other.
"Finally, Paul told her to go to a school within the neighbourhood that the youngest among them was there and he would lot her the money."
The prosecutor said the 20-year-old innocently went without knowing the men were on her trail.
"They overpowered her and tore her drawers. Two others held her legs isolated and they raped her.
"At a point, she became real anemic and fainted. The men used her hijab to fan her and asked her to get up and go out.
"She wore a only gown and she went directly to the police to report the incident."
Nwangwu urged the tribunal to sentence the men accordingly, as "the one of the defendent is a gramps and is questionable to have a girl of the girl's age."
The Hon Magistrate, Mrs A. Ipaye-Nwachukwu, admitted the statements of the defendants and the individual as exhibits.
The defendants, who used an interpreter, admitted that the prosecutor's accounting was sensible, begged the court to forgive them.
Ipaye-Nwachukwu, having them guilty, sentenced them to five years imprisonment on each investigated count.
She said, "On count one, the first and second litigant convicts are sentenced to five years imprisonment.
"On count two, they are also sentenced to five years imprisonment. The sentences are to run concurrently."
