Jose Mourinho has signed a new four-year contract, to return as coach of Chelsea. The Portuguese put pen to paper on a stunning £10million a year deal on Tuesday night.
“It’s official — Jose is a Chelsea man again! Everyone is delighted he’s coming back — the club, the players and the fans,” a senior Blues source revealed.
“We are already looking forward to next season — we are sure it’s going to be very exciting.”
Mourinho, who will leave Real Madrid after their game against Osasuna on Saturday, was in London this week on a two-day and his cover story was attending the play-off final between Watford and Crystal Palace on Monday and visiting friends.
However, it has now emerged that the real purpose he flew into the UK, was to seal a reunion with the Stamford Bridge club, along with his right-hand man, Rui Faria.
The former Inter Milan and Porto manager, was in charge of the Blues between 2004 and 2007 and won six trophies with the club.
