Arsene Wenger, has offered an explained why he lost his cool at a press conference yesterday, ahead of a crucial Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

“Why does this story just come out when we lose a big game,” questioned Wenger. “In your opinion? You think I am so naive that I don’t see what is behind that? You think I am a complete idiot?

“The lie is targeted to hurt. It’s easy to say people are not happy and, on top of that, to say he’s extending the contract. That’s what I mean. I’ve worked here for 16 years and when I say I deserve more credit, that’s not about respect and everybody saying I’m doing well. It is morally. I think that’s right.

“I am angry because when you give wrong information like that, there’s not only wrong information behind that. What I don’t accept is lies and when the target behind it is to manipulate people.”

It Is Better To Be A Majority In A Minority Than To Be A Minority In A Majority - APGA/APC Merger

While a faction of the party is already identifying with the newly formed APC, Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State has insisted that the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has never been consulted or participated in any discussion about any merger, alliance or any union with any political party or parties.

The governor, who was speaking at the weekend after the national caucus meeting of party, said “there are no two APGA, just one individual APGA; the Governor of Imo State has sympathy for the merger arrangements… It is better to be a majority in a minority than to be a minority in a majority, because nobody would hear your voice, we want something that would allow our voice to be heard in this context called Nigeria and we believe APGA would give us that opportunity”.

In the meantime, the party has passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Governor Peter Obi as the national leader of the party, and Governor Obi has insited that the party was not in any merger, but that individual members could have their personal arrangements. He said, “the merger says you have to surrender your Logo and Identity, that we can’t do, but members can surrender themselves.”

Tragedy struck on Wednesday, as senior legislative adviser to Senator Mohammed Saleh and a former staff of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Kaduna, Mohammed Ibrahim Matazu, lost his life from severe burns he suffered when his wife set him ablaze. A randy 57-year-old man, Victor Adebanjo is currently in jail and hiding his face in shame for raping a defenseless deaf and dumb woman in her shop repeatedly.

Explosion in FESTAC Town

The Nigerian police say the man who died was the leader of a sand dredgers association.

The Police have confirmed the death of one person in an explosion that occurred under the Festac link bridge, linking Festac Town to Amuwo Odofin Housing Estate.

The Area Commander of Area E Festac Command of the Lagos State Police Command, Dan Okoro, confirmed the death in a telephone conversation with PREMIUM TIMES.

Mr. Okoro said the dead was a leader of the sand dredgers under the bridge. Another source confirmed the dead to be the chairman of the association, who operate in the water under the bridge.

The police boss also said one person was injured in the blast. Our source said the injured is a policeman whose leg was damaged in the blast.

The police bomb squad are already at the scene of the explosion, although it is not clear what the cause of the explosion is, Mr. Okoro explained.

Nollywood actor Lugard Onoyemu dies at National Stadium, Lagos

Tragedy hit Nollywood on Thursday evening, after former Secretary of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lugard Onoyemu, slumped and died at the National Stadium in Surulere.

The sad news was confirmed by Emeka Rising, whom he once served under in the AGN.

Sources say Onoyemu was hale and hearty, but at about 5.30pm, he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital, where he passed on.

Woman uses 54 Injections to Enhance her Backside

A woman addicted to black market bum-boosting injections has told how she used the dangerous jabs to swell her backside from a size four to a size 10. 

Karmello , 23, from Detroit, Michigan, US, says 54 injections over the last three years have filled her búttocks with a whopping two liters of liquid. 

But she claims she needs even MORE of the jabs full of unknown chemicals to obtain the "perfect" figure - with another 36 planned. Shockingly, the mum-of-one has never received a single jab form a plastic surgeon and instead meets an unlicensed woman in hotel rooms.

What killed Goldie.

Popular Afro pop singer and ex-Big Brother Africa housemate Goldie is dead. The eclectic music diva who just returned to Nigeria from the United States where she attended the Grammys Awards last weekend died few hours to midnight on Thursday, Lovers Day, at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Goldie, whose real name is Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, died in the arms of her best friend Denrele Edun. Her death has been confirmed by her record label, Kennis Music. 

TON gathered that she might have died of Pneumonia- An inflammatory condition of the lung - affecting primarily the microscopic air sacs known as alveoli. 

Early Friday morning, several youths from different parts of Lagos stormed the Reddington Hospital, where she died, to at least confirm the sad news themselves.

Born in 1984, the native of Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State, won several awards, and accolades including Exquisite Lady of the year (ELOY) Best Female Artiste award 2011 and City People Best Female Artiste of the year 2009. Goldie had also been inducted as a Federal Celebrity Special Marshal alongside other notable Nigerian celebrities.

Goldie became the final celebrity to exit the BBA7 star game house in 2012 as the 3rd runner up.
