Half-Shaved Hairstyle, what is your thought on it?

A half-shaved hairstyle is daring and cool. It gives you a fierce and warrior-like beauty. Celebrities like Rihanna and Jada Pinkett-Smith have set the records with this hair trend. But it is no longer a celebrity affair, more women are digging it day-by-day and it is not going away anytime soon.
But how do you pull it off perfectly? First, it should fit your style. Don’t venture this hairstyle if you have a more romantic wardrobe preference. This hairstyle might look out of place. On the other hand, if you wish to tone down a notch, think asymmetric haircuts that leave the side of the hair with short hair. Also, consider where you want your undercut to be.
If you have it on the sides, it looks great but will be noticeable most of the time. You can also have it on the nape of your neck. How deep you want your undercut is entirely your choice. You can also wear it in a romantic way with the longer hair waved or curled. Pop it up also with colours.
A couple of coloured strands added to your side-shaved hair, gives it a street look. You can also jazz up your half-shaved hair with patterns. The design may be checkerboard, polka dots, spirals, words or even a picture. It only needs regular and frequent maintenance to look good. Fiercely update your looks ladies!

Foods to Avoid While Breast Feeding

Many women find that they can eat whatever they may like during breast feeding. Even though it’s true that some strongly favored foods can change the taste of your milk, many babies seem to enjoy the varieties of breast milk flavors. Occasionally, your baby may get cranky at the breast after you eat certain foods. If you notice this happening, simply avoid that particular food.

The most common offenders during breast feeding include chocolate, spices, citrus fruits, garlic, chili, lime, gassy vegetables, and fruits with laxative type effects, such as prunes and cherries.

You can have a cup or two of coffee a day, although too much caffeine can interfere with your baby’s sleep and even make him or her cranky. Keep in mind, caffeine is found in many soda’s, tea, and even over the counter type medicine as well.

It’s okay to have an alcoholic beverage every now and then, although having more than one drink can increase your blood alcohol level, putting the alcohol into your breast milk.

If you are planning to have more than one drink at a time, it’s best to wait two hours or more per drink before you resume any type of nursing or breast feeding. There is no need to pump and dump unless your breasts are full and its time to feed your baby. While breast feeding, any type of heavy drinking should be avoided.

Before you actually omitting any foods from your diet, you should talk to your doctor. If you avoid certain foods and it causes a nutritional imbalance, you may need to see a nutritionist for advice on taking other foods or getting nutritional supplements.

Uche Jombo Flairs up!!! "Stop Talking Sh*t, I Never Did Eye Surgery"

The media was inundated with news about Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo Rodriguez going to the United States of America for a corrective eye surgery some weeks ago. She was even quoted in one of the reports to have said that the eye surgery was necessary because while she was a kid, she had a problem with the eye. As a result, she was going to the US to do a surgery to further correcti the problem caused to the eye back then ("As a child, I had an accident while playing with an iron hanger as a gun and it accidentally got into my right eye. I had surgery then abroad, at the age of 9. This new surgery is more of cleaning and keeping up to date with the best eye surgery, when it was found out that it wasn't properly done the first time, and presently the doctors are correcting it,") This quote was what was reported that Uche said when she talked on her eye surgery news after she underwent the reported eye surgery.

But in a late turn-around, weeks after the news, Uche has openly spat fire like a dragon on the matter. The wife of Kenny Rodriguez went on twitter to show her anger while she reinstated that she is wonderfully made by God and as such, she won't do anything to alter her face or nose.

"Dear clueless one, stop talking sh*t. If I want to do surgery, my nose and face will be the last thing I will touch because I am wonderfully made by God. Sincerely, Uche Jombo-R."

Will: Emeka Jnr lied, says Ojukwu’s lawyer

AWKA- CONTROVERSY has continued to trail last week’s reading of the Will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu at the Enugu High Court, with Ojukwu’s lawyer, Mr. Emeka Onyemelukwe saying yesterday that Emeka Ojukwu Jr. lied when he claimed that he (Onyemelukwe) was not his father’s lawyer.
Emeka Ojukwu Jr had dismissed the Will, saying that it was not his father’s Will and vowed not to obey it. He also said he did not know Onyemelukwe as his father’s lawyer.
But backing his long standing relationship with the late Ikemba Nnewi with documents, Onyemelukwe said he prepared Ojukwu’s Will in July, 2005 and the CODICIL which gave details of the contents and corrections of what was missing on the original Will, with Ojukwu on 24th July, 2009, insisting that Ojukwu had no other Will and that the one read in the court last week is incontestable.
He said: “It was a blatant lie for Emeka Ojukwu Jr to say that he did not know me and that I was not his father’s lawyer, when I was the person that prepared the legal documents for Ojukwu’s commercial property at No 26 Sokoto road, Onitsha yielding millions of naira, which Emeka Jr is managing and collecting rents and was the lawyer that handled Ojukwu’s case against the federal government from the High Court to the Supreme Court.
“I was also the master of ceremony, MC, when Emeka Jr. wedded at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu to the daughter of the late Chief Cyprian Ekwensi and the reception was held at Nike Lake Hotel, with Justice Iguh formerly of the Supreme Court as the chairman of that wedding.
“Before Ojukwu’s Will was read last week, I was the one that sent text messages to all the parties concerned, including Emeka Jr. I got his two telephone numbers from Mr. Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s nephew. The text read: The Will of your late father will be read on Friday, 20th November, 2012 at the Probate Registry at the Enugu High Court. Kindly inform Okigbo and Mi Mi (Ojukwu’s other children).

“I also sent the text to Ebele who is Ojukwu’s daughter from Stella Onyeador, Mark Ezemba who was Ojukwu’s best man during his wedding with Bianca. So the pretence by Emeka that he was not informed about the reading of the Will did not hold water.
“His claim that I was not his father’s lawyer is also not true. On 24th July, 2009, I was the person that registered the power of attorney for Ojukwu for the property at No 7 Forest Crescent, Enugu. I am also in possession of the Certificate of Occupancy, C of O, of Ojukwu’s landed property contained in the Will.
“There were even other documents which Ojukwu gave me. In the Will, which I prepared with Ojukwu, the following persons were named as Ojukwu’s children. -  Tenni Hamman (daughter), Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (son), Mmegha Odumegwu Ojukwu (daughter), Okigbo Odumegwu Ojukwu (son), Ebele Odumegwu Ojukwu (daughter) Chineme Odumegwu Ojukwu (son), Afam Odumegwu Ojukwu (son) and Nwachukwu Odumegwu Ojukwu (son).”
Onyemelukwe also debunked the insinuation that Bianca had a pre-knowledge of the contents of the Will before it was read, adding “what I knew was that Ojukwu asked Bianca to bring all the documents when I was going to prepare the Will and anytime we were writing the Will, I was doing it with Ojukwu in his library at the Forest Crescent in Enugu.”
The lawyer also said that he was even taken aback by the decision of Ikemba to Will the mansion at Nnewi to Emeka Jr because that property was built due to much pressure mounted on Ojukwu by Binaca to build a house in Nnewi.
He continued: “That was when Ojukwu was managing toll gates during the regime of Abacha and the person managing it for Ojukwu was asked to design and build the house at Nnewi. Before then, Ojukwu’s bungalow had burnt down and Ezeigbo had no place to stay whenever he came to Nnewi.”
Onyemelukwe also spoke on the incident that happened at Nnewi a day before the one year memorial service for Ojukwu, regretting that when Bianca sent some people to clean the house, some people allegedly sent by Emeka chased them out of the compound.
He said that Emeka even benefited so much from his father, adding that the Sokoto street lock up shops which had more than 30 lock up shops and was not contained in the Will is being managed by Emeka Jr and it yields millions of Naira.

Ojukwu's Will is Fraudulent, Says Disinherited First Son

Emeka, first son of late Biafran leader Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Saturday alleged that the will presented by Barr. Onyekwelu on Friday is fraudulent, saying the lawyer is a private counsel to Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu and not that of his late father.

Ojukwu claimed he has a copy of the original will written by his father and not what he called the "fraud" presented to them as Ojukwu's will.

Speaking at his country home in Nnewi, Anambra State, the late Igbo leader's son maintained that his late father's will was altered in favour of his step mother.

His words: “There have been rumours up to yesterday that there is an attempt to read the will and that they intend to make changes in the original will. Well, I have not seen the will that they read.
“Now there are issues that come to mind. Why were there no members of Ojukwu family when the will was read? They were not invited and they were not told.

“She was here last Sunday when we removed the mourning cloth and since she knows that the will would be read she would have invited us or even put us on notice.

“Now the lawyer that is supposedly doing all this things is not our father’s lawyer. Mr Onyekwelu is not a lawyer that is known to the family as Ezeigbo’s lawyer. Remember when Ezeigbo was sick the same lawyer went to the press to claim that Ezeigbo was recuperating and that was not true.
"It is still the same lawyer that claimed to have custody of the will. And I told everybody that it was not true and that since my father was flown to England he never lifted an arm or spoken a word until his death finally.

“How can the lawyer claim that he is Ezeigbo's lawyer when he had already taken sides with Bianca and doing the woman’s biddings and why would the will be read in Enugu instead of in Anambra State? You can see all elements of suspicion in the matter."
Ojukwu insisted that the family members have the original copy of Ojukwu’s will and know that what was read was a contradiction.

“We have the original copy of the will and we know where it is, even if you want to make some changes in the will it should be done before the beneficiaries and seeking their consent. Furthermore, when a will is amended without the presence of the people involved but only the presence of the person who would ultimately benefit  from the changes, then it is a fraud and a charade.”
Reacting to the willing of Ojukwu Transport Limited, Emeka explained that Bianca is currently in court with OTL where she used the names of her two sons to drag the company to court.

“The claim that my father transferred his trustee membership to Bianca is false. First of all, my father Ojukwu was not a trustee. His position in OTL is that of a director not trustee. The position of director cannot be transferred to anybody. Even if it is transferred to me it would not hold. There is a laid down law or procedure for one to become a director in the transport company.

“For you to be director in Ojukwu Transport you must have Ojukwu blood and not through marriage into Ojukwu family. You have to have at least 10 shares. And you have to be voted into directorship by the board of trustees and a woman cannot be a director. Also if you are a public servant you cannot be a director and even if Bianca is a director she has to resign because she is now a public servant by virtue of the fact that she is now an ambassador.

“There was a time my father has to resign as director and later he was reinstated as one when he stopped being a public servant .So there are many reasons why this claim is spurious.

“The person that is claiming that the directorship was bestowed on her is right now in court suing Ojukwu Transport in the name of her two sons. There is a lawsuit right now, and it is in the public domain, where she is using the names of her two sons to sue the company.”

Emeka also confirmed that the mysterious girl that benefited from the will is his father’s daughter, adding that his father Ojukwu had told him about the girl before now.

“My father had earlier told me about the girl in question and told me all that had happened before he died. So she is not a stranger and in the original will she was mentioned by my father.”

A night before the will was read, Ojukwu recalled that he was away to attend a funeral ceremony when his security guards at the gate phoned to report that the Anambra Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Robert Okonkwo had driven into the compound and carted away Bianca’s property from  Ojukwu’s main house. This, he noted, was a confirmation that Bianca had a premonition that the will would be read the following day and that Ojukwu’s main house would be willed to him as the first son.

Court reads Ojukwu’s Will, Bianca takes lion share, new daughter revealed

The will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was on Friday presented to the family with his widow, Bianca, getting the lion’s share.

The presentation by the Chief Registrar of the Enugu High Court, Mr Dennis Ekoh, was witnessed by Bianca, Mr Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s first cousin, and Mr Mike Ejemba.

In the will, the late Ojukwu identified one Tenny Haman as one of his children. Ojukwu listed the children as Tenny Haman, Chukwuemeka Jnr, Mmegha, Okigbo, Ebele, Chineme, Afam and Nwachukwu.

The Ikemba gave the Casabianca Lodge at No. 7, Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu, two property at Jabi and Kuje in the FCT as well as all his money and personal effects to his widow.
He also said that Bianca should replace him as the trustee in the family company, Ojukwu Transport Ltd, while also giving her two plots of land in his village at Nnewi. He, however, added that if she re-married, the land should be taken away from her.
The first son, Emeka Jnr., got the family house at Nnewi, while the newly mentioned daughter, Tenny Haman, got the Jubilee Hotel located in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Biafran warlord also shared other landed property in the village among all his children.
Ojukwu listed the trustees and executors of the will to include Bianca, Emeka Jnr and Mr James Chukwuneme.
Reacting to the will, Bianca, who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, expressed satisfaction with its contents.
“It was a fair will. This time round, he did not disappoint us,’’ she said.
The ambassador, however, expressed shock at the disclosure of a new daughter in the family, whom she said had never been mentioned by her husband.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that none of the children was present at the presentation of the will.

Governor Okorocha’s ADC beats policeman to coma

The Aide-de-Camp to the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Omo Gabriel, and two other police officers on Saturday, allegedly beat up a policeman attached the state government house for delaying in opening the gate for the governor’s convoy.

The incident, which occurred around 12:30am, when the governor returned from his wife’s birthday party, left the victim unconscious.

The mobile policeman, Corporal Itere Ewedor, was said to have been on duty at the security post when the governor’s convoy drove in.

Efforts to speak to Ewedor on Saturday were not successful as he was said to be resting but his friend, Mr. David Edhie, confirmed the incident.

He told SUNDAY PUNCH that after hearing the hooting of the horn from the governor’s convoy, the policeman opened the gate only for the ADC, a superintendent of police, and two other senior police officers to descend on him.

He said, “When the governor’s convoy got to the gate, the men of the civil defence corps and members of the Imo orientation corps, who were supposed to open the gate, were not around. So, there was a delay. Then my friend went to open the gate.

“When the convoy drove in, the ADC and some other police officers came down and asked him why he delayed. They wanted to collect his gun, but he refused. So, they started beating him. They beat him until he became unconscious, with bruises all over his face and parts of his body.”

Edhie added that the ADC took Ewedor, in his unconscious state, to Shell Camp Police Station and requested that he be detained.

He said, “The police officers at the station refused. They said they could not detain someone that was dying. Then Gabriel made arrangements for Ewedor to be taken to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri, where he was admitted. After sometime, he regained consciousness.”

SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that Ewedor, was discharged from the hospital around 5pm on Saturday.
Edhie said the ADC had made frantic efforts to get Ewedor discharged from the hospital, because sympathisers, including journalists, were visiting the the place.

When contacted, the state Commissioner for Information and Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Chinedu Offor, refuted the report.

He said, “The ADC to Governor Okorocha is a true professional, there is no way he could have descended so low to physically assault somebody. In order not to scare people away, we use men of the civil defence corps at the gate. We don’t use policemen at the gates of the government house. So, if anybody says a policeman was beaten up for refusing to open the gate, it is false. I was at the government house around 12:30am. Such a thing never happened.”

D'banj wants to marry me To Me - Kokoma

Very few Nigerians will know the renowned musician named Kokoma Ikpong, but majority of people will know her as a very wealthy and young business lady. Few days before this interview, our press team was alerted that she was in town and luckily she was spotted having cocktail with few white friends of hers.

Hi, can we meet you?

I’m Kate Kokoma Ikpong.

We understand you’re not fully based in Nigeria, can you talk about that?

Yes, I’m based in California USA. I have two companies there and am actually running down home finally. I might still go back to California but for now I feel it’s time to come enjoy Africa and do something here, at lease contribute to growth of the country.

You are into music, we have seen your smashing video, can you tell us about your music career?

I have been a music lover right from my secondary school, was the vice president of a choreography club. Then we used to perform every Sunday at the chapel. Started writing songs from SS.2 and I recorded my first single in 2006. I then moved to United States, and have been privileged to be in the studio with amazing artiste like Beyonce, Rihanna, Coldplay, Avril lavigne, Shade Adu and I actually did a song with R-Kelly but that record wasn’t released. So professionally I have been into music for six years.

So now that you are in Nigeria, what’s your plan for the Nigeria Music Industry?

I have always been a business person and truthfully I know what it’s like being new or rather, functioning in a new geographical area or market. So for now I want to make friends, partner with young people and just have fun but also focusing on building a brand musically in Nigeria.

Which Nigerian artist would like to work with?

I have so many of them and truth be told I have a bit of a crush on some single Nigerian Male Artiste. I truly feel Flavour is quite cute and yes my very own D’banj. I’d really like to work with BankyW, Asa, WizKid, Tuface, Flavour, Olamide, Eva, BrymO, Tiwa Savage and the list goes on.

What’s the craziest thing you have experienced so far in the Nigeria Music Industry?

A lot actually, but I still feel Alaba market people are quite weird to me or maybe I just need to understand the Nigerian music business a bit more.

What made you leave the United States to come start all over in Nigeria?

I don’t know actually, but here’s a thing, when I was making plans to come back home most of my friends were like “why are you going to Africa, please don’t go”. Guess what I told them? I sincerely don’t know where that thought came from but I just said, “D’Banj proposed to me.” They were so excited and immediately got their blessings and here I am pursuing that dream to bless the Nigeria Music Industry.

How old are you?
I’m in my 20’s, single and looking for my African Prince.

Kalu calls for 38 states

Former Abia State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu yesterday urged President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure the creation of two more states in the South to balance the Nigerian equation. Dr. Kalu made the call against the backdrop of cries of marginalization which continued to rock the embattled South-east. According to Kalu,”we are talking of equity. With the present 36 states structure, the North enjoys 19, while the South has 17. To strike a balance, two states should emerge from the South to give Nigeria 38 states, and also achieve a 19\19 balance.”
He called on the President to send an Executive Bill to the Senate to correct the anomaly. “We may not have to go through all the long haul of Constitutional grammar. This is a national emergency. The South-east must get another state, and one from the South-south, possibly Anioma, from the Old Mid-west, “the ex-governor added. On the need for fairplay, Kalu said,”at Amalgamation in 1914,Nigeria was made up of North and South. The Richards Constitution of 1946 divided Nigeria into three regions, one in the North, two down South. This went on to Independence in 1960. By 1963, when the First Republic came,
The Midwest region was created to make it three in the South, one in the North. General Yakubu Gowon quickly balanced it when he came up with 12 states in 1967. Six up, six down. No victor, no vanquished. However, General Murtala Mohammed changed all that shortly before he died in 1976.Kalu continued: “Things got so lopsided under Mohammed who added seven states to Gowon’s 12 to make 19.The North, for the first time, overtook the South at 10-9.Besides, of the new states, four of the governors were from the North, while three were Southerners. The impication was that, out of 19 governors under him, the North produced 11, South eight. It meant a lot, because even under Gowon, six of the 12 governors [East Central State Administator inclusive], were form the South.
When Mohammed took over in 1975,seven of the Governors came from the North, leaving the South with five,”he recalled. Kalu explained that Igbo interest was paramount in the exercise, arguing that even Chief Obafemi Awolowo believed Nigeria needed more states as far back as 1947.”Two new states cannot wait, they cannot be too many. Afterall, Chief Awolowo in his book: ‘Path to Nigerian Freedom’, called for 40 states in 1947.Today,the Igbos are not just crying for freedom, they are crying for living space. It was like state creation was a Civil War tool, today we are in 2012,a whole 42 years gone. Let the nation rise up against injustice.”

Battered maid…Residents send SOS to police

Battered maid…Residents send SOS to police
Residents of Adesina Street, Ijesha, Lagos have raised the alarm over the fate of a 10-year-old girl, who was allegedly brutalised by her guardians. The residents have called on the Commissioner of Police (CP), Umar Manko, to rescue the girl before she dies.
Spokesperson for the concerned residents, who simply identified himself as Jay Martins, said the little girl, Chisom Okorie when last seen, was battered, with her swollen eyes. Martins said since the guardians noticed that residents were embittered by their action, they allegedly locked her inside their residence at Adesina Street.
He said: “We saw Chisom with swollen eyes and when we asked her what happened to her, she told us how her madam’s mother beat her black and blue for a minor offence she committed.” She told us that on the fateful day, the culprit came to visit her daughter and she instructed her (Chisom) to look after the hot water she was boiling.
Martins alleged that Chisom told him that she forgot to inform the woman that the water was steaming, “so, when the woman saw it, she got angry and started beating Chisom until she literarily passed out.” Martins said the most agonizing aspect, was that when Chisom’s guardians came back from work,. rather than take her to the hospital, they reprimanded her for being too absent-minded.
Since two weeks now, the little girl has not been treated and was locked up in the room. When Crimewatch visited Chisom who spoke through the window, she said: “I am from Ubahu, Okija in Anambra State. I came to this house early this year. I am a maid to Mr. and Mrs. Paul. I don’t go to school. “I was asked to look after the hot water my madam’s mother was boiling, and I forgot to bring the water down.
When she came back from where she went to, she started beating me. She attempted to pour the hot water on me but I managed to escape from being badly hurt by the hot water. But the hot water splashed on my eyes.” She said she has not been treated, adding that she could not see clearly, noting that she was experiencing excruciating pains.
However, the neighbours have called on the police to act fast by rescuing the girl before the unexpected happens.
