Bryan Boy claimed on Twitter yesterday that Kanye’s gay lover is Riccardo Tisci, the creative director of Givenchy, and the creator of the cover art of Kanye and Jay Z’s album ‘Watch The Throne’, plus Riccardo was one of the people who influenced Kanye’s foray into fashion. Bryan Boy also doesn’t believe that Kim is having Kanye’s baby.

Commercial sex worker to spend six years in prison for Killing a customer

A 27-year-old commercial sex worker and single mother, Nkechi Okafor, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment by Justice Lateefat Okunnu of the Ikeja High court.

Ms Okafor, an Imo state indigene and primary school teacher, was sentenced today after having faced trial on the 16th of March, 2012 for stabbing one of her clients, Abiodun Sarumi, leading to his untimely death. She was accused of murdering one Mr. Abiodun Sarumi on the 2nd March, 2010 by 11pm, at Nice Time Hotel, Old Ipaja Road, Lagos. She was said to have stabbed her victim with a bottle on his shoulder.

Jim Iyke has once again ripped into blogger, Linda Ikeji, after she posted semi-naked pictures of the Nollywood actor on her blog.

Miss Ikeji, who had a similar face-off with the controversial Iyke last year, had infact added the caption ‘Jim Iyke Shows Off Six Pack’ …‘Every time I write about this dude he comes after me on Twitter, but I must do my job na…lol. Nice body’ beneath the picture.

If she was expecting a backlash, she certainly got it from Iyke, who took to his Twitter page to call her names.

Early this morning in Lagos, this baby was dug out alive, from where the mother buried him.

Reports are still sketchy, and it has not been ascertained how long the new baby was beneath the earth.

The Rotin state of Nigerian Police College’s Ikeja dormitories

Many have seen how dilapidated the police quarters are, possibly have heard how horrible the Nigerian Police cells can be. The reality is right from the Academy, the Nigerian Police officer has known no better way to live.

A Channels TV documentary on the life of students living in the Nigerian Police College Ikeja, Lagos has revealed the deplorable conditions they face. Its an irony that these students will later graduate to become policemen and women.

Channels TV had the opportunity to film a meal-time at the training college at Ikeja, Lagos, the crew recounted how they watched as the cadets struggled to get their bellies filled with substances not fit enough to call food. About 50 trainees were seen sharing one head of fish.

The documentary shows the sad state of the dormitories, the toilets and more. Students were seen urinating at the back of the building where the drainage system has broken down completely. The toilets and bathrooms are in such terrible conditions, one wonders how students manage to use them.

The college’s male dormitory 10, is one of those built by Nigerian colonial masters in 1940. Today, its windows and doors are damaged with no plans for any repairs. There is no electricity and the occupants point out blood stains from bed bug bites.

Also, the female hostels are in no way better. Meanwhile, the recruits will spend 13 months of their lives in there. An Olympic-size swimming pool is one of the facilities the college can once boost off, but have is now a breeding ground for toads.

Also, the college is known in wining medals for shooting all over West Africa but there is no shooting range anymore.

According to Jonah Mavah, the Deputy Commandant of the College, there has been no major development since establishment except for some few renovations.

The College itself was built to accommodate only 700 students but today, it contains 2,554. As for the library, the Staff says they cannot remember the last time books were supplied to the library which is full of museum pieces and antiquities called books bought in the 1970s.

There are 7 police colleges in Nigeria and a total of 18,500 constables graduated as at December 2012.

In 2013, a sum of N311 billion Naira has been budgeted for the Nigerian Police. It is hoped this money would be used judiciously and a significant part of it be allocated to improving infrastructure in the Police College and other facilities of the Nigerian Police.

President Goodluck Jonathan, this afternoon paid a surprise visit to the Police College in Ikeja, Lagos.

According to sources, even his top aides were completely unaware that the president would stop over at the College, which has been the centre of intense media scrutiny over the past days, due to the terrible state of facilities.

Eyewitnesses claim the authorities were also caught unawares, as the college had been rented out to host a private wedding ceremony – an illegal act in itself. When the president could not get a coherent explanation for these actions, he summoned the top brass of the College and went on an inspection tour of the school – including the students’ hostels where there are no beds and toilets.

Dr. Reuben Abati confirmed that President Jonathan was heading to Cote D’Voire for ECOWAS meeting, after the shock visit. “The surprise visit is over. Mr. President walked the length and breadth of the college, inspected every facility. Heading for Cote D’Ivoire now,” he tweeted.

Late MC Loph's Son Adopted by record label boss, Emeka Morgan of Morgan Entertainment

News reaching us indicates that Obiajulu Jnr, son of late MC Loph, who died in a fatal accident in 2011, has now been adopted by his late father's record label boss, Emeka Morgan of Morgan Entertainment. 

Morgan reportedly said in a statement that it pains him to know that virtually those that claimed to be the late singer's friends have left MC Loph's mother and his son, who was in pregnancy stage when his father died, alone and made them not looked after as MC Loph would have wished. 

Obiajulu was given birth to in March 2012 by her medical practitioner mother, Nkiru, who was also involved in the accident while on their way for their traditional marriage. 

The statement reads, "MC Loph's family became my second family from the very day that unfortunate incident happened and I have been living up to expectations. This is not a joking matter.

No one prays for a thing like this, but once it happens, it's no time to start feasting on it negatively. None of these people who called themselves MC Loph's friends have deemed it fit to even pay a visit to his mother and yet they maintained they are his friends. As for Obiajulu Jnr. (Loph's son), he has been adopted by me, which makes him my son and as his father, I have and will continue to be responsible for his upkeep"
